What we do

Three things every community event needs and no volunteer wants to do

We take the legal, financial and operational load so organizers can spend their energy on the program and the people.

Fiscal sponsorship

Your event operates under our 501(c)(3). We sign the contracts, hold the money, carry the insurance and file the paperwork.

How sponsorship works

Event operations

Venue coordination, vendor management, ticketing and the run-of-show playbook we have refined across four conferences.

What is included

Community growth

We connect sponsors, speakers and attendees across our events, so each new community starts with a network.

How it works

From an idea to a funded event in four steps

Fiscal sponsorship in practice, from the first conversation to the closed books.

  1. Step 1

    Bring your event

Tell us about the community, the format and the budget. We check fit with our mission and the calendar.

  2. Step 2

    We become the legal home

A sponsorship agreement puts your event under our 501(c)(3). You get a dedicated fund, a bank account and insurance coverage.

  3. Step 3

We run the money and paperwork

Sponsor contracts and invoices, venue and vendor payments, ticket revenue and refunds, all tracked in your fund with regular statements.

  4. Step 4

    You run the show

Program, speakers, volunteers and the day. After the event we close the books and roll the surplus into next year.

Use case

How KCD New York reached 900+ attendees in three editions

In 2024 a group of volunteer organizers wanted to bring Kubernetes Community Days to New York. They had the speakers and the audience. They did not have a legal entity, a bank account or a way to invoice sponsors.

Cloud Community Labs became the event's fiscal sponsor. We signed the venue, collected sponsorships, carried the insurance and paid the vendors. The organizers ran the program. Three editions on, KCD New York has reached more than 900 attendees.

About

A non-profit founded by organizers, for organizers

Cloud Community Labs was founded in 2024 to close the gap between cloud technology and the communities that use it. We believe education should be accessible, communities inclusive and knowledge sharing encouraged at every level.
